EA assumes that Cloud Gaming could attract more billion players

Well, that's certainly a goal.

It feels like we have heard the mystical power of the cloud for years, but as streaming games become more and more important, the biggest promises become more and more possible. But there are still a lot of highly arranged goals and ambitions resulting from the expectations of Publisher EA to the new technology.

In a far-reaching interview with Gamesindustry, Ken Mass, CTO of EA spoke about the investment of EA in various technologies, including cloud gaming and new KI programming. When it comes to what they expect from cloud games, they seem to have high expectations that will involve another billion players.

When streaming it is our motivation to be where the players are to play our games wherever and how they want. Our actions agree with it. As the cloud gaming is developing is currently uncertain, but there will be another billion players in the game world. We say we are currently 2.6 billion. We want to make sure that we are at the top, but we also want to gain the first experiences so we know how we can design our games in this world.

I mean, without doubt, streaming may open many doors in places where gaming has not been reached in the past, but a full new billion consumer seems to be a pretty high bar. But to hell, why not? Grab the stars, I say, and see where you end up.
