However, in the current Metal Slug Tactics, which is to come 2022, all the ran may, not on the phone, but on all sorts of consoles, including the Nintendo Switch. Behind the project is the Studio Dotemu among other things. Retro fans will be paired at this point, because the French team not only has a fible for retro games, but also a hand to transport them skillfully into the present.

The different heroes have their equipment and their essence according to different, practical skills. For so-called sync attacks, the strengths of two characters can also be linked to achieve particularly effective results. One of these skills is likely to be an air slot, with which Marco in the shown game scenes enrich enemy tanks at the upper floor of a ruin. A promise is the fact that the bombed bullet is crushed and also damaged or turned off units in the radius and under the structure.

Source: Dotemu fans of the genre know that it is tactically very important to place the troops smart and that height differences can transform supposedly weak units in bulwarks. With the possibility to not only exploit the terrain, but also influence it through special maneuvers, opens up exciting, new possibilities. And so that the missions are not boring at the second round, the developers decided to generate them at least partially from chance. This is a two-edged sword and requires a lot of attention on the part of the studios, so in the end neither Level coming out, which are very similar, nor orders that are not to be created for unfavorable starting conditions.

stronger, bigger, better

The role-playing elements come to wear at the end of the battles. Your figures and your team collect experience, making it improved not only your firepower, but also your special talents. The armament wants to be as important: to win the war, you should only equip you with the best utensils you can afford.

So far there were three views in the game to see: a desert, a big city, a kind of western settlement and the jungle. Surely, more areas are waiting in the finished game. Already a nearly forbidden good figure makes the look in itself, which is strongly oriented strongly on the retro templates, but really looks very lively, detailed and noble. A true pleasure also the hand-animated 2D intermediate sequences and character portraits that appear on the screen when a special ability is activated. Although Metal Slug Tactics will be claimed, it is not prescribed in stone, but the scenes shown can be hoped. It remains to be seen how successful the random generation of missions works and of course, whether the game is fun - because that can only be judged when it seems next year.

It live retro - Metal Slug Tactics makes a wonderful impression!

Some of one keeps the genre yes for dead, but nevertheless, there are always great games in the strategy division, which are based on the great classics. Time in the modern robe as with X-Com, sometimes in the oldschool look like Into the Breach. In any case, Metal Slug Tactics has conquered my heart at the moment when I saw the dynamic 2D animations! Who knows me, knows that I am very receptive for it and that I can easily inspire me, that was already at Cuphead. I like this style significantly better than that also admitted pretty look of Project Triangle Strategy. Only too difficult, the game may not be at least for me, because with a special talent for this genre, I was not blessed. So I hope for Fair Rogue Like elements. I would like to play it definitely! And I did not even have a particularly intimate reference to Metal Slug. Anyway, it is time to wait for now whether the game meets my quite high expectations, and that until next year. Where, in four months is already Christmas again ...
