5 PlayStation franchises that they must return

This Tuesday, March 29, Sony finally confirmed that effectively, PlayStation Plus will be integrated with PlayStation Now in a new service that will also allow us to enjoy many classic games PS1, PS2 , and up PSP . The truth is that PlayStation has always been home to memorable franchises, although sadly, many of them have been lost over time and it seems that the niphneating no longer has any intention of reviving them. Here we mention five of them who definitely deserve to return for the new generation.

parappa the rapper

Essentially, parappa the rapper was the franchise that basically invent the gender of rhythm and created the bases for other games such as Dance Dance Revolution, Amplitude, Guitar Hero, and more. This saga turned the PlayStation controls into instruments, with a fairly addictive rhythmic gameplay thanks to the overflowing personality and charism of parappa itself. Sadly, these last years IP seems to have been forgotten completely and the last time we knew something about it was at PlayStation All-Star, when Parappa appeared as a playable character in this fight title.

Twisted Metal.

Just Dance 2022 - Full Song List | PS5, PS4 There was a time when vehicular combat had its own genre within video games. Due to the success of the first Twisted Metal on PS1, there were many other studies that sought to replicate this same formula, but obviously, they did not have very good results. The truth is that this genre is no longer as relevant as before, however, Twisted metal remains a very important franchise for PlayStation that deserves another opportunity. There are rumors that we will have a new game for PS5, but at the moment, this has not been one hundred percent.

Sly Cooper

Sly Cooper is possibly one of the most beloved franchises by PlayStation players. The original trilogy, developed by Sucker Punch Productions, stole the heart of thousands of users around the world and everything indicated that this IP would become one of the most important for the Japanese company. Unfortunately, that was not the case, and after the launch of Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time in 2013, this saga took a definitive rest. Now, the original study was already moved to other projects and it seems that we will not know anything about this raccoon again in the near future.

Resistance

When PS3 debuted in 2006, reality is that there were not many games capable of taking advantage of this new hardware. This changed with Resistance: Fall of Man, a first-person shooting game developed by Insomniac Games and who quickly managed to establish himself as one of the most popular PlayStation IPS. After five games in the franchise, it seems that Insomniac had finally found the perfect formula for this series, but unfortunately, they never had the opportunity to prove it. To date, the idea of having a fourth resistance delivery sounds like something unlikely, but not impossible.

JAK & DAXTER

At this point there are a lot of Platformers for all types of public, but anyone who has enjoyed Jak & Daxter's trilogy by Naughty Dog will know how special they turned out to be these games. When this study decided to move to more ambitious projects such as Uncharted and The Last of Us at PlayStation 3, it seems that Jak & Daxter also disappeared completely. Naughty Dog already said that it is not within his current plans to return to this franchise, although they still do not rule out of the whole possibility. That is, there is still a pinch of hope.
